Dreams….. we all have them. Of course! I have lots and lots of dreams that I chase every day. Chasing dreams requires hard work, dedication, passion, discipline, priorities and the undying love of what you do and what you wish to achieve. My list is maybe long to some, short to others. I dream of things everyone else dreams of – world peace, health & happiness and winning the lottery. Those are the obvious and to me become so routine that it’s easy to lose the drive to reach them. I mean, do you really work hard every day to win the lottery? Have you committed to being as healthy as you can 24 hours a day? I bet you never looked at it that way before did you.
So if you haven’t already figured it out – the obvious – I dream every day of being an International Recording Artist. I guess what everyone would call a “Rockstar”. It’s true! I am a singer, I think a really good singer and hey I act too, but yeah, I am a singer. I write, I produce, I record – but yeah, first, I am a singer or as they say in the business, a vocalist. However you say it or look at it, Gabbie Rae is a singer.
Been singing since I could utter sounds. It’s true. Mom & Dad have video proof of me in the high chair mumbling along with Elmo and Rockin Out as much as a toddler can to “Elmopalooza”. They even have recordings of me in the studio at 2 years old laying down some of my favorites from “Annie”. By the age of 5 I could and would sing the entire score of “Jesus Christ Superstar”. By age 6, it was “Les Miserables” and “Phantom of the Opera”. So singing is what I do and music is what I love – therefore it is every day, MY DREAM!!!!
If you even follow me slightly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and all the other cool & trendy social media sites, you will realize I take my dream very seriously. Day after day, countless posts, promotions and Gabbie Rae information floods the timelines. Google Alerts by the dozen. Believe me, it’s true.
Okay, so what does this have to do with the title of this blog, “Amazing You….”. Well, this crazy adventure I am on has led me to many paths and I have been blessed to have crossed my path with the most amazing people and organizations I could ever hope for. …which brings me to my next dream – MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
Let’s back it up a bit to 2011 when I released my first Official Music Video, “Don’t Look Down”. This was the launch of my personal Anti-Bullying Campaign. The video is amazing, the message is powerful and it’s release launched what has become an amazing journey of love, friendship and life-changing events.
Crossing paths with Free2Luv (http://www.free2luv.org) was meant to be and the next blessed path crossed in this amazing journey. Their organization is meaningful and powerful and they have a gazillion things going on in doing what they can to share love, peace & hope. A major part of their efforts is their Anti-Bullying Campaign which I am so proud and honored to say I have become the Voice for. In fact, the Free2Luv “Rock Your Own Lyrics” Anti-Bullying Tour just launched this past June in Seattle and it was amazing. Having the chance to Sing and Raise Awareness and Help End Bullying for me is “Making a Difference”…. hence, Dream #2.
So there you have it – my dreams. Be a “RockStar” and “Make a Difference”. Do I want to be the next Oprah, Tyler Perry, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn (just a few of the many) and use my fame to “Help”… YES I DO!
So here’s where G-Rae Nation comes in.
What could be better than having fans that not only love your music, your videos, your photos and you…but LOVE what you are doing and WANT to help MAKE A DIFFERENCE too!!!! Nothing is better than that. I am thankful every day for the best fans ever who are caring, unselfish, creative and committed to Making a Difference and being what I refer to as “AMAZING”…..
So here are some “Amazing You…. Fans!
